FACIAL COSMETICS DATABASE
Facial cosmetics database is prepared for the study 'Facial Cosmetics Database and Impact Analysis on Automatic Face Recognition' (Eckert M.-L, Kose N., Dugelay J.-L., in IEEE International Workshop in Multimedia Signal Processing, MMSP 2013, Sardinia, Italy, 2013.).
This database is prepared using both makeup and non-makeup images. For each person in the database, one non-makeup reference image and one makeup series with non-makeup and increasing makeup steps images exist.
To obtain natural images of persons with and without makeup, images in this database are extracted from makeup tutorials videos. The database contains multiple images with and without applied makeup per person and consists in total of 389 images and 50 persons. Each image is annotated with the amount and location of applied makeup i.e. the makeup code. With this code, it is possible to deduct the makeup category automatically. For each person, one reference image with no makeup is stored and one or more makeup series.
A makeup series is a series of images where at each succeeding image more makeup is applied as shown in Figure 1.

The table below shows the persons in the database and weblinks. If you want to reproduce the database, you should use these links to extract the images. After you obtain the images, you can send us the data that you have and we will send you the pre-processed data. As preprocessing step, images are rotated and automatically cropped considering eye and mouth coordinates.
For each person, maximal one image is selected to represent each of the makeup categories.
